Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2001 I have acted for clients on a wide range of employment and HR matters, giving effective legal advice on all aspects of HR and employment practice. My work includes taking and defending claims in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and in the higher appeal courts.
A particular area of interest and expertise has been the work undertaken by my colleagues and I in the range of legal matters which can affect the Care sector businesses. I believe our specialist care team are champions of the sector: helping operators to meet their ever increasing regulatory burden and enabling the forums that drive positive change.
At a time of recruitment difficulties and historically low levels of unemployment, I will be talking about how employers can recruit and retain people, and the legal issues they can face if they make mistakes.
